All this "shafting old players with expensive stuff by not updating it" is really not cool.

Anet, please fix it. It's not fair and it's not right.
Exactly. Like I said, IF the greens ever got updated, there would be an uproar in the community to change everyones Gold items and old 10/10 mods. The market has been shaken up enough with the new update.

I also say this as someone with plenty of 10/10 and 10/9 mods in my storage/inventory. I have no problem farming or refarming some of them and I think the community should just suck it up and refarm.

Isn't Anets goal to cut down on farming? However, I say this but I may well be donig B/P in tombs to level my Crane anyway...if a Victos Axe drops for me today then maybe my opinion will change?

Another item that needs to be updated is:

Quote:
Rhino's Charge - Warrior Hammer

Blunt Dmg: 19-35 (req. 9 Hammer Mastery)
Damage +15% (While Health is above 50%)
Armor penetration +10% (Chance: 10%)
This is one of the bonus items in the EU '06 Edition - not much of a bonus if Sundering is now 20/20...

No, you're wrong. When you paid for it, you were paying for the best. Now your item is now second best and worth less.

I agree, however, 10/10 isnt 'second best'. Its the best of the worst, even on blue items a 20/12 can be found, which is even alot better. 10/10 isnt worth less, its worth crap.

Has there been an official reaction from the Dev team/Gaile Gray about this yet? I sure would like to hear what they have to say about this.

Come to think of it, in most cases Armour costs MUCH less than upgrades. A full set of FoW obviously is the exception but 15k armour costs about 20-25k w/ Materials. An upgrade can cost upto 150k if your dumb enough to pay what Bot Farmers want. Victos Axe when it was first out cost 100k + 30 ectos.
That's the fault of those that get them. Anet set the prices of armor to be affordable (with exception of FoW which was intended to be a LONG term goal) but it's the greed of people that set the prices of the weapons and their mods. If there wasn't a trader for runes or rare crafting materials I don't even want to know how expensive those items would be.

Praising the MM nerfs while whinning at your poor worthless 10/10 sunderings..
Go find the new items! they have increased ALOT the drops, so it may not be THAT hard to find it..
Besides that, a 20/17 mod seems to me (haven´t done the math) more interesting then 10/10.. why you have to be SO perfeccionist?

(the MM part is not directed to anyone in particular..)

Remove all greens from the game. They're needless pollution that seem to have done nothing but dirty up the game.

Something rare and exclusive always costs more, otherwise I'd go to my grocery store and buy myself a Ferrari tomorrow.

Offcourse even a 20/17 mod is more interesting, but just as FoW armor, are perfect upgrades a long term goal. Personally I hate the look of FoW armor, so i decided to spend my money on perfect upgrades. To see alot of my money go to waste just pisses my off.

No, I don't agree with that, for people that want 'perfect' stats, but dont want to spend the money on it, greens are the answer. However the term 'unique' for this items is a little bit farfetched.

Let's say Friday I go out and buy the "top of the line car" on the market. If the same dealer puts a better model out on Monday... should I go and demand they replace my car with the newer, better version? At no additional cost... of course! Good luck on trying to get them to do that, btw.

You didn't buy "the best on the market" mod. You bought "the current best." Its a dynamic game, things change over time. Better things will appear. Go buy a new mod.

I'm pretty sure when you bought your mod the person didn't say "Selling best sundering mod ever." Chances are, it was "WTS 10/10 Sundering X."

So you bought the 10/10 Sundering... and you got what you paid for.

You aren't being scammed (if you think the people who designed the game are scamming you... wow), you aren't being cheated, you aren't being treated unfairly. They just put out a new mod. If you want it, do what you did when you got your last mod... buy it or find it.

And in regards to the people that went "Why did you bring this up?" when the poster said that non-perfect greens are now dropping... Chances are that was in regards to all the people that said "All greens are perfect. Upgrade my mod." Which his statement clearly disproves.

I dont know if there is a response from the GW team, wouldnt be surprised if tehre isnt cuz they know, that all these updates do, is make items stronger which isnt bad, but anyone who paid alot for their "not so perf anymore" items, just lost a lot of money, i can say i once boughgt a armor+8 vs slash shield a few months back for 500k, and lost A TON of gold form the update, so GW basically said "too bad" and didnt change the current "perf " mods.
I dont expect a response to this by the GW team, and if it does happen all it will say is this

"we are sorry, it does suck and we feel bad too" GG

I just went back and got the green with the better mod, wasn't that hard. Not that I disagree or anything, would have been nice if I didn't have to go back and get another one.

You can always get a reasonable amount of money when you sell your supercar, and it would only take a little investment to get the new one. What happened here is like making the car worth like 10% of the original value, without any opportunity to fix it, or to make a deal with the dealer.
No one ingame is gonna accept a 10/10 sundering+10k for a new 20/20. What would you say when you've bought your high-end car right before the launch of the new one, and the dealer says "No trade-in possible, have fun working another 10 years 'till you have the money to buy this one"?

One thing i dont quite understand yet is: Why make 10/10 Sundering into 20/20 in the first place? Was it because Anet finally realise that it sux and not much players were using it to warrent for its existance?

If so, what this means is that basically those Greens with Sundering have been shafting players anyways and this "buff" was trying to fix this issue to Sundering generally as a whole. If you gonna fix something pls dont do a half-assed job and get it right. Refarming greens stands against what all we been talking about for months about how players should be able to get what they want through normal gameplay not grind and lose sleep or visit fleabay.

Fix old Sundering greens please.

Edit for spelling

Reseach my friends. On guru, (don't remember where) yesterday, i saw some chat logs of Gaile Gray, and the greens WILL BE UPGRADEABLE just like the armors. It'll just take some time to get it implemented. Gaile said that they will put in place "upgrade merchants" where you can get your old 15k dragons armor upgraded (which i need to do) along with an old green weapon upgrader. So just wait.

People talk about supply and demand and have said the more of something there is the less the price will be. Also they said that the perfect stats and unique skins of greens would force the prices of rares to drop. Can't get any more WRONG. The only thing that dropped in price were the greens and those was only due to the ease of getting them. You know exactly where to go and who to kill to get a certain green and if you do the run enough times it's not a matter of if but a matter of when you will get one. The maxed state rare (gold) items are still (always have been and always will) insanely expensive. I've been to LA and Ascolon and watched the prices of the items being sold. You see nothing but the same rare items (same skin and stats) all being sold for roughly the same price. 100k+ sometimes including ecto. So where is the price drop? They're being sold all over the place at any given time in different districts so there is definitely a large supply. I see these WTS ads, go do some quests and missions then come back to see the same people trying to sell the same item(s). So there doesn't appear to be a strong demand yet the prices are still extremely high. It throws the whole supply and demand affecting prices out the window. Sure it has some effect but only a small one. However with that being said, I have noticed the prices dropping since they upped the drop rate of rare items. That only leaves me to conclude that the price is given to an item based on the odds of finding it rather than how many people have one. They know that if they stand there long enough someone will eventually come by to buy it and since everyone is selling it for the same high price it doesn't give the person much choice.

But where does the price come from? When I first started playing I used to follow a rule for value. If the item has a merchant value of 100 if it's white (normal) than that is the value, if it's blue then I would double it (200), if it's purple I would multiply by ten (1000) and if it's gold I would double and multiply by ten (2000). However I quickly found out that I was ripping myself off. Simply put, with no trader in the game that offers a price (since not everything found is for sale from a merchant or trader), the players themselves set the price. Now that those people got to gether (pretty much when the game was released) to form a community and as a community they determine a price that everyone abides by.

As for your reference to Ferraries, I'm not sure where to start. Let's see, they're not rare just expensive. The price of one has nothing to do with supply and demand or rarity (again, not rare). The price of exotic cars are determined their own way. I don't know the details off hand. Oh and you don't get them from a grocery store. You know those things that have the lots filled with parked vehicles some with price tags? They're called car dealerships. Say it with me now car, deal-er-ships.

I've read them as well, and all I can say is, I retract my previous statements. This solves the problem for me.
